Hi everyone, certainly been a while since I've posted stuff! But any how, bet you're all wondering about this mention of a so-called contest...? Well, not to fret! I was just gonna get to the details!



The aim of the contest is to create an dress that a ballerina or any other dancer might wear, so long as it still retains a certain elegance to it and it still resembles the usual outfit that a ballerina just might wear (so please don't design something, for example, a cybergoth dancer would wear, UNLESS you can make it look uber elegant and ballerina-like, in that case, go for it!!!!).

However, there is a catch (isn't there always?): your design must consist of a LARGE amount of BLACK TULE (if you have no idea what that is, it's the stuff used in ballerina skirts. Here are a few examples from Google: www.instablogsimages.com/1/201… www.theribbonspot.com/images/T… ) AND ballet shoes (any colour you wish)!!

There are three finalists for each category: originality, elegance and functionality (as in, if someone could actually DANCE in that outfit without tripping on it!).



(THE DESIGN MAY BE PRESENTED IN ANY WAY YOU WISH. PAINTING, DRAWING, DIGITAL, YOU NAME IT!)

Large amount of BLACK TULE. (You may have the tule in any way, shape or form in your outfit and you can have other colour and types of material too)

Any colour of BALLET SHOES. (example: www.4dancers.org/wp-content/up… )

Your outfit must consist of at least a DRESS that can FIT OVER A LARE BUST SIZE. (you can add pants and what not but it has to at least have a dress)

***PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT IT IS EASY ENOUGH TO SEE WHERE THE BLACK TULE IS USED!!!***

All three finalists will recieve one request of their choice done my myself plus a . You may ask me to make you anything from a hand-drawn picture of anything to a digitally edited drawing or whatever else comes to mind. I am personally much better at simply drawing a picture without having to edit, but I am pretty decent at it nonetheless. If you want to check out my gallery to get some ideas of what I can do feel free to look, but I will say that my gallery doesn't have everything I've every created cause I've been a bit lazy at submitting things and finishing others..

...you may ask I do this? Well, I bought two square metres worth of black tule for a cosplay I was gonna do but I lost interest in the idea so now I want to find some inspiration for a new outfit to make. Plus, some of my step-cousins let me have a used pair of ballet shoes (since as I've found out from them, when your taking up ballet, you go through your shoes quite quickly..) so I figured I could make a sweet dancer/ballerina outfit with the tule and shoes.

Based on the fact that there was only one entry so far I'm willing to still give out two more prizes to the next two entries, regardless of category.

I feel like I have almost exceptional luck when it comes with money. Why's that? Recently I did a couple of offers on IMVU to earn some credits and I made around 8000 credits with barely any effort used. (Scary, I know...) O_O

That, and also because I have to raise money for a trip in February or March ($550 to be exact) and so far I've made at least half of that (though spending 70 bucks during a recent trip with my family didn't exactly help... ).

But for others, I can see that where money isn't their strong-front, other areas are:

and any other things I've forgotten...

And just like how they have luck in those thing(s) and not in money, it's vice versa for me too...

At the very least now that I'm the legal age to work in Canada (it's 16, right?) I'll probably have a better chance at finding a job this summer.
